A PARADISE FOUND
by Larry V.
The following story is fiction. None of the persons, places or events occurred anywhere except in the mind of a caster. Could they happen? With luck. While there is some sex in the story, I have deliberately kept it "toned down" so that the reader may, if he so desires, place himself in the story and enhance it as he likes. The title is changed from an old movie, "Paradise Lost".
I glanced over the top of the display counter and saw an angel. My heart raced when I noticed the crutches under her arms. I could only see her from the tops of her crutches and up. Her pretty face was framed by her thick soft brown hair which was draped over her shoulders. She had soft brown eyes and sensual, red lips. When she looked up and our eyes met, she smiled softly and my heart skipped two beats. I knew instantly that I had to meet her and also see why she was on crutches. As casually as I could, I came around the display counter and that's when I saw it: her right leg was beautifully encased in a long, white plaster cast. Her toes peeked out of the end of the cast. The cast went smoothly up her leg, gently holding her knee bent and continuing up her thigh and ending close to her hip. She wore a white running shoe and a white ankle sock on her left foot. She also wore a pair of ultra short and tight cut-offs, the end of which just touched the top of her cast. She had on a T-shirt which was pulled tighter around her breasts because of her crutches. I was about to move closer when she slowly managed to turn her back to me and began to head out of the store. As soon as she took her first steps I knew I would have a reason to catch-up to her and speak to her. She wasn't very good with crutches. In fact, instead of walking she took short, quick hops with her left leg and was swinging her right leg from the hip. She was bent over the tops of the crutches and was very hesitant in her movements. When she left the store she didn't turn to walk down the mall but crossed to the rail that looked over to the lower level of the mall. Here she stopped, adjusted herself and caught her breath. As I came out of the store she hopped to a nearby empty bench. I watched as she struggled to sit down. Once she sat down and had leaned her crutches against the bench beside her casted leg, I took a deep breath and went and sat beside her. She turned to look at me and smiled again. My mouth was dry but I somehow managed to talk and just hoped I wouldn't blow this golden opportunity. "I hope you don't mind," I began. "But I couldn't help but notice you're having a difficult time using your crutches." She continued to smile and said, "I know. They never really took the time to show me how to use them when I was in the hospital and I don't have anyone who could show me how." I smiled and said, "That's why I had to stop. I would like to show you how to use your crutches and to be comfortable with them if you would let me." "I would really appreciate that. But I need some time to catch my breath." I paused and then said, "Do you mind if I ask what happened? How did you end up with your cast and crutches?" She replied, "I was a passenger in a car that was broadsided by a drunk driver. I spent three weeks in hospital and was just released last week." "How long will you be like this?" "Well, the doctor said I would have this cast for at least ten weeks but more likely it would be 12 or more. Then I'll get a long-leg walking cast for a month followed by a short-leg walking cast for a month. After that I'll have to go to therapy to learn how to walk again." "Wow! I replied. "That seems like more than a simple broken bone to me." "It is," she said. "Actually, I have nine fractures. I broke my ankle in three places; my fibula has a single fracture; my tibia has three fractures, two of which are compound fractures held together by plates and screws. Finally I have two compound fractures of my femur and have two rods holding it together." I looked at her in amazement. "That's terrible. Was anyone else hurt?" "My friend had some cuts and bruises. I got the worst of it and now I'll spend 7 or 8 months or more recovering from this. You know, I think I'm ready now. I'm really glad that your willing to show me how to walk. Do you have any experience with crutches yourself?" "Last year I broke my ankle and I was on crutches for six weeks. I also have had friends who have been on crutches for various reasons and for different lengths of time. So yeah, you could say I have some experience with crutches. Here, let me help you up." I got this angel to put her left arm around my shoulder and I placed my right arm around her waist. Leaning on me and using her left leg, she managed to standup. Getting her to continue to lean on me, I managed to grab her crutches which she put under her arms. "Using crutches is pretty easy once you remember a few simple things. First, don't lean on the tops of the crutches. Put your weight down on your hands. By leaning on them you could pinch a nerve or block blood vessels to your arms which would cause them to go numb. Next, plant your crutches about two feet forward then swing your good leg from the hip and place it about two feet in front of the crutches. Its like taking a normal step with your good leg. Don't swing your whole body just your leg. At the same time, let your casted leg hang forward with your foot one or two inches off the floor. When you walk only your arms and good leg should move. If you swing your whole body or take long strides with your left leg you'll use more energy and tire quickly. OK, now let's see you try. " In no time she was walking properly and smoothly. After she had gone some distance she stopped. "How does that feel?" I asked. "Much better thank you. I really appreciate your help." "Your more than welcome," I replied. "Just one more thing now. As you walk keep your head up. There's no need to look down. Your leg knows where to go." She smiled and again thanked me. "Say, I don't even know your name." I said, "My name is Jason." She reached her hand out to me and said, "Jason, I'm Cathy." I took her hand and instead of shaking it I bent over it and kissed it gently and said, "Enchante, Mademoiselle." Cathy giggled. I asked, "may I be so bold as to ask as lovely a lady as yourself to join me for lunch?" "I would truly be honored. I would be delighted to have lunch with a gentleman like you. Thank you." "I hope yourboy friend won't object." "You don't have to worry. I don't have a boy friend." "In that case I hope you would do me the pleasure of spending the day with me and would allow me the opportunity to show you that you can have fun while wearing a cast and using crutches." She said, "I'd like that very much. Thank you." I walked with her, keeping to her cast side and guided her towards the escalator. She looked rather reluctant but I said, "Not to worry. I'll help you." I had Cathy put both of the crutches under her left arm, put her right arm around me and I put my left arm around her. Leaning on me she hobbled onto the escalator. She held me closely as we rode down. When we reached the bottom she hopped a few steps forward and then resumed crutching. I asked if there was any place in particular that she wanted to eat. She indicated that she liked Chinese food. So I led her to the Chinese food counter in the food court and we ordered some lunch. I then carried our tray to a nearby empty table. I set the tray down and began to help Cathy sit down. She sat with her leg extended forward with her heel resting on the floor. I happened to see an empty chair nearby and brought it over. I placed the chair next to her leg and gently lifted that beautifully casted leg and set it gently on the chair. When I sat down she thanked me for lunch and for helping her. "I'm glad to be able to help someone as pretty as you. I want you to see that just because you're wearing a cast and using crutches you're not limited in what you can do." She said, "you said before that you had a broken ankle last year and had some friends who had had broken legs. Tell me about them." "Sure," I replied, "First there was Jason. Not me, I know someone else who is also named Jason. He was 18 the first time he was on crutches. He tore the Achilles tendon in his ankle and underwent surgery to repair it. He was in a knee-high cast for twelve weeks but was on crutches for about 8 months. Then two years ago he broke his leg in twoplaces playing soccer. In fact he had a cast just like yours. He wore that for ten weeks and then got a short-leg walking cast for six weeks. My friend Chris blew out his knee about five years ago and had to under go major re-constructive surgery. He too had a long-leg cast for about 3 months and then he wore a heavy steel brace for another eight months and finally he had a lighter brace for another six months. He used crutches for 13 months. And finally there's my good friend Mike. Mike is a special case. He broke his left femur in a motorcycle accident when he was 21. Unfortunately the fracture never healed and they were force to amputate his leg. He lost his leg near the hip and continues to walk with crutches today. So there you have it; everyone I know whose been in a cast and/or on crutches. Could I be so bold as to suggest, we spend the rest of the afternoon wandering around the mall. Then we could grab something to eat and catch a movie and drop by my place later." "That's OK by me." So after finishing our lunch, I helped Cathy back up onto her leg and crutches. We spent the rest of the afternoon strolling around the mall. Sometimes I would sit on a bench while Cathy would crutch into a ladies clothing store. I would not be able to take my eyes off of her as she smoothly swung between her crutches. I loved to watch her beautiful bare left leg swing next to her lovely white casted leg. Once when she returned to where I sat, after walking toward me, I stood up and said, "Cathy watching you crutch like you do now, I think you are poetry in motion." She smiled shyly and dropped her eyes and blushed a pretty shade of red. As we walked, we would talk about many things and it was fun to watch her throw her head back and laugh. Finally I took her to a restaurant in the mall for dinner. After we had sat down and I had rested her leg on a chair, we ordered our food. When the waiter had left she reached over and put her hand gently on mine. She said, "thank you." "For what?" "For makingthis such a fun day. Until you came along and showed me how to walk properly, I was about ready to give up and go home; that's how hard it was for me to get around. You not only changed that but you have made it a great day for me. You've put the smile back on my face for the first time since the accident." I smiled and said, "Thank you. Seeing you in the store with that cast and struggling to walk with crutches, I was moved to help. I figured you're too pretty not to stop and take the time to lend a hand if I could. I have enjoyed this afternoon. I was glad I could show you how to crutch properly and it was great watching you, hearing you talk and listening to you laugh. I knew that it was possible for you to have a broken leg and to not be down because of it. Too many women break their legs and end up staying around the house waiting for it to heal. There isn't any reason why you shouldn't be getting around as normally as your cast and crutches will allow." As we left the restaurant to head to my car, we discovered a light rain was falling. I had Cathy wait under an over hang by the mall entrance while I went and got the car. I pulled up across from the entrance because of the cars parked there. I got out and ran across to her. I said, "get off your crutches." "Why," she asked. Before she could object, I had one arm around her back and had bent over and putting my other arm under her legs, I picked her up and carried her to the car. Putting her down again, I opened the door and helped her sit down and to lift and twist to get her casted leg into the car. I put her crutches into the back and then drove to the theatre. When we got to the theatre, I told her to wait in the car while I went and got the tickets. When I returned, I helped her out and again carried her across the parking lot. After setting her down and waiting a moment while she adjusted her crutches, she took a step toward me and leaning forward planted a soft wet kiss on my cheek. "That's for my knight in shining armor." I smiled shyly and we went inside. I had Cathy sit on the aisle so there would be room for her to set her leg out on the floor. After the movie had started and seeing there was no one sitting in the seat in front of her, I leaned over and whispered to her to lift her leg and rest it on the arm rest in front of her. She managed to lift her leg a bit but was unable to raise it high enough, so I got up and leaning over her good leg took her casted leg and steadying myself on the seat back with my free hand, gently lifted her leg and set it carefully on the narrow arm rest. As I sat back down she took my right arm and placed it around her shoulders. Soon she leaned her head sideways onto my shoulder, her soft hair falling gently on my arm. We enjoyed the movie as we sat together with only the armrest dividing us. When the movie was over, I helped Cathy stand again and we headed into the lobby. Before we left she decided to hit the ladies room. I walked her to the door and leaning in, held it open as she hobbled in. A few minutes later she reappeared as the door was held open for her. I smiled as I watched her swing toward me on her crutches, her beautifully casted leg hanging forward. When we got outside we noticed that the rain had stopped. I offered to carry her to the car anyway but she insisted on walking. We drove back to my place and I helped her inside. We sat together in the living room and watched TV for a while. When she began to yawn, I said, "Do you want me to take you home or would you like to spend the night here?" She looked at me and said, "What do you think?" So I picked her up and carried her up the stairs to my room. She managed to find the light switch and I placed her on the bed. I then began to help her undress. In no time at all she lay on the bed wearing only her cast. I stripped as quickly as I could while she managed to slip under the covers. I turned out the light and got into bed and snuggled as close to her warm, soft body as I could. I could feel the cool, firm, smoothness of her cast against my bare leg. I put my arm under her neck and felt the softness of her hair on my arm. She turned her head to me and we began to kiss. As we did, I slowly rubbed my leg against her cast. Our kisses became more passionate. I could hear her softly moan almost like a cat purring. Her lips were soft and wet against mine. She pulled me closer and I felt myself roll over her, being careful not to put any of my weight on her casted leg. As I lay on top of her, I could feel her firm breasts against my chest and her arms enfolded me gently. Her tongue reached out and met mine. Our passion grew. In no time at all I began to slowly enter between her legs. As I slowly and gently began to rise and fall, I could feel her cast rub against my leg. The cast added to my excitement. She continued to moan softly. She ran her hands up and down my back and over my bare buttocks. We continued like this for what seemed to be an eternity. Each time I felt myself rising to a peak, I would ease back, catch my breath and wait for her to whisper, "don't stop". Finally, in one long passionate burst of energy, everything came to a perfect climax. She let out a long, deep and contented sigh. I rolled back beside her. I lay on my side facing her with one arm over her. In moments I could hear her breathing and knew she was asleep. Before long, I too had joined her in blissful slumber. If I dreamt at all, I don't remember. If I did it could only be about spending my life with this angel with the cast on her leg. When I finally awoke, I leaned over and kissed Cathy on the cheek. She moaned and I whispered, "wake up angel." Her eyes fluttered open and she looked around. As our eyes made contact she smiled. Again I kissed her, this time a long, deep kiss on the lips. She threw back the blanket and lay on her back. I moved to the end of the bed and bent over her casted leg. I looked back at her and said, "You were wonderful last night." She smiled and I lowered my head. I kissed each of the toes peaking out of her cast. She giggled and wiggled her toes and I kissed them again. Finally I moved beside her and lifted her off the bed. I set her down to stand on her leg and let her lean on me for balance. I said, "Things are informal here. So you might want to slip on your panties and I'll put on my jockeys." So in this semi-dressed fashion, with Cathy's breasts bare, I carried her first to the washroom and finally down the stairs. Her crutches were leaning against the wall at the bottom of the stairs. I stood her up and she put the crutches under her bare arms. She hobbled into the kitchen her full, firm breasts bouncing gently and enticingly. I sat her down at the kitchen table and cooked up some breakfast. When I sat down Cathy said, "I'm glad that I broke my leg. Without this cast and these crutches, we might never have met. I didn't think having a broken leg could be so wonderful but last night was incredible. Thank you." "I just wanted to have the chance to put a smile on your pretty face. When I first saw you, you looked so sad. I knew that having a cast and crutches wasn't so terrible. Now that you know what it can be like, would you continue to spend your recovery time with me? I really do think you look beautiful and I think that cast makes your leg even more gorgeous." Cathy smiled, took my hand in hers and said, "You are the only person I could possibly want to be with while I have my cast. Who knows, maybe I'll keep it around for a while after the leg is healed." "That would be great. I just love a beautiful woman with a beautiful cast on her leg."
