Our casting adventures.
If I had my way I would have my wife in some kind of cast every weekend. That's not possible however due to our 'real' lives. Our 'real' lives being our children, our jobs, and our families. Before going off to 'Play', we both must get time off from work, I work most weekends. We also must find someone to watch the kids. This can be challenging, not because no one wants to watch them but because we are pretty selective as to who we will leave them with, and we don't like to inconvenience any one person for an entire weekend. If we succeed in all this then we need an excuse as to why we're leaving our kids with someone and 'going away' for the weekend. Then, if no one gets sick, and no other unforeseen circumstances pop up, we get our "weekend away".
Because of all this, our "weekend aways" happen only about two or three times a year. We usually have a few planned each year that get canceled or seriously altered do to these problems. Kids get sick, babysitters have other plans, etc.
Some of these weekends I am lucky and have Molly casted most of her waking hours. She has a big problem with sleeping in them, but we're working on that. Some weekends she will spend only part of the time in a cast. I guess I can understand that she would like a little time alone together without being immobilized in some big casts. Remember, Molly is a castee, not a caster.
Every time we go away on these 'weekend aways', I try to get her in as much plaster as I can for as long as I can. Molly on the other hand tries to get away with the least amount of her immobilized as possible for the least amount of time she can get away with. We both compromise but I have to admit that lately she has been giving in more than I have.
Here I will share some of our adventures.
