Yes, Yet another cast site. Why another one? It is true we have a lot of them. At first I thought it might be better to give the material I have to some of the other sites to help them out, but I couldn't decide who to send it to. I didn't want to give something to one and have another be offended.

I also wanted to have some input as to how things were presented. I have some ideas that I think will be original and interesting, if I can get the time and the knowledge to put it together.

HERE IS WHAT I HAVE PLANNED.




Yes there will be pictures. I hope to focus on recreational casts, preferably done by couples. This will be in the hope that the casting couples out there will help. Here's the catch, I would like to put a short, (or long) story with the pictures. I love to see pictures too, but I always want to know more about the cast and the castee in the photo. A few of the other sites have done this some, I would like to take this a little farther. This idea came from "The casters Diary" on The Orthopedic Art Gallery. On this site, I would like to have some "Photo Diaries" of couples casting adventures.
Again I must plead for help from all the casting couples out there, now I'm asking that you not only send me pictures of your casts, but to write a short story about the cast and the adventure you had with it. I will accept anything, from a paragraph to ten pages. I am not a critic of spelling and grammar, we will edit the best we can and if the perfectionists don't like it they don't have to read it. But I bet they do. And of coarse, if you can't write a story to go with your pictures, I'll still post them.




Another goal of this site is to get more couples casting together. As "Plaster of Paradise" is a resource to those who want to cast themselves, this site will hopefully be a resource to those who desire to cast a partner. I have talked to many people who want more than anything to cast their significant other but do not know how to talk to them about it. Well, I know that feeling. I spent many years casting myself when I really wanted to cast my wife. Then one day, somehow it all came out, and, although we had some difficulties, she is now my casting partner. I will tell, in my words, and maybe in her words, what we went through to get to where we are now. If I can get one couple casting together, this will be well worth the effort.



Other stuff.


I have no idea as to what extent I can take this site. I have some other things in mind but as I said before I have a lot to learn about web design. I have some good ideas, good intentions, and a desire to make it work. Please bare with me while I learn.




This will not be a pretty website, for awhile anyway.
Please keep in mind that this is a learning experience, I take constructive criticism and advice, but if just want to put the site down because of my lack of talent at web design, spare me please.
