Sunsilk shampoo commercial. The shampoo is so good she can't help but whip her head back and forth, which leads to a neck brace.

From the now cancelled Fox show, The Loop, secretary Darcy (Joy Osmanski) falls down some stairs. I believe the episode is from season two, and is called "Stride". Season one is on dvd now, but season two isn't yet, so look for it.

From the movie The Omen (2006): Julia Stiles plays the mother of the son of the devil (Damien). Damien runs into her and knocks her over a ledge.

From an internet clip about a cheerleader who breaks her neck.

A bit of a different update: This is Jaime Pressley from the show My Name is Earl. She hit in the face with a soccer ball that breaks her nose. This is probably the first time I've ever posted pix of such a thing, but thought someone might like it. Plus an EMS collar in a few pix.

Captures from the VH1 show Best Week Ever, where a group of comedians review what happened that week in media. At the end of the episode, they did a brief story on the cheerleader, Kristi Yakamaoko, who fell on her head during a routine, fracture her spinal column, some ribs, and other injuries. She, fortunately, did not sustain any paralysis.

More Kristi, this time from the "Parting Shot" of Mitch Album of The Sports Reporters on ESPN.

Rebecca DeMornay on the last season of The Practive. One of the characters punches her and she ends up in this contraption.

From Grey's Anatomy (an excellent show), actress Monica Keena plays a woman who is in a train crash, and she gets impailed with a metal pole from the train, attatching her to the man. Weird yes.

From Grey's again; A pregnant woman gets into a car accident and has to wear this brace for precaution.

One more from Grey's Anatomy; This woman has a "seizure" while driving and for precaution, ends up in this neckbrace. The look on her face, however, is not from pain. Her "seizure" was actually spontaneous orgasms she can't control.

Lisa Kudrow in a scoliosis brace in a high school flashback, from the movie Romy and Michelle's High School Reunion.

From the movie Mean Girls, the character (played by Rachel McAdams) gets run over by a schoolbus and ends up in a halo, at the end of the movie. The dvd contains two deleted scenes with her in it (pix 12-32 actually).

Pix Of Drea de Matteo, from the show The Sopranos, episode "Irregular Around The Margins" (5x05). Her character (Adriana) was in a car accident and had two collars during most of the episode.

Pix from the French movie Bleu (Blue), a brilliant film from the late Krzysztof Kieslowski. The lovely Juliette Binoche's character is in a car accident, where her husband and daughter are killed. She's in the collar and SAC for a short period at the beginning of the film. See it if you haven't. It's a great flim. (Also see White and Red. This is a trilogy but no ortho stuff in the other two, I just had to plug it.)

The Pretender

From the TV movie Our Lips are Sealed, a bad Olsen twins movie. But there's this one small scene in the beginning of the movie, of a cheerleader falling off a pyramid.

This woman (Cynthia Watros) fell off the salad table (restaurant kitchen) while having sex. Funny show.

I think this is my first neck brace update. Captures from the television movie Out of Sync, Gail O'Grady's character is in a minor car accident. This movie is replaying all this month on VH1.
