Dear JD,
Sorry I haven't written in a while.
I've been so busy with my new job here in Chicago
as a sales rep for CaraPlast Medical Supplies.
Ever since Fran and I were
little girls, we dreamed of having a job where we would be surrounded
by casting stuff. Too bad the med schools didn't want me. They are
so particular about grades and passing your courses. Gee.
The people here at CaraPlast just don't know how much practice I've had making
casts, wink, wink. They think I'm real smart.
Last week I made a neato walking cast to show some interns how great
plaster can be molded to my leg. They paid very close attention. Guess they like
plaster too.
Anyway, the cast felt so good, I decided to just wear
it for a while. Told the people at the office I'm
wear-testing the heel. Just part of my job, hehe.
It really brings back memories of those days when
Fran and I would make casts. We thought we would never grow up
so we could have our own apartment. It sure beats the elastic bandages
we had to use when we were kids. :)
I miss Fran, but we talk sometimes and she really likes her job as your
assistant at the Gallery. I can hardly wait to visit you all again.
Meanwhile, I checkout the single's bars here pretty often. A cast is a
great ice-breaker. The guys just go head-over-heels to help me find a
seat and bring me stuff.
I will also be travelling some; I'll keep you posted.
Your Casting Cutie,
Phyllis
P.S. - I have to make a trip to San Antonio next week. I'll give you a call. -- ciao
