Dear JD,
I really had a great time in Montreal last week.
Took my short arm cast with thumb spica since it's so easy to pack.
Wednesday afternoon we finished early with our casting seminar so I put
on my SAC and went sightseeing.
Boy, the people there sure are hard to understand.
Luckily I met a nice fellow named Jean-Claude at
a little French style cafe. Would you believe they have
those in Montreal too?
Spotted him right away with
his long legcast. As I approached he smiled and said something like
'Cast to a bra?'*. I was shocked, and replied. 'I BEG your pardon?' But he
quickly explained he was just asking about my arm. So I started to explain
how I had dislocated my thumb and he asked me to sit down.
By then I was so turned on by his LLC, I could hardly conceal my eagerness.
Jean-Claude said he broke his ankle about three months ago but it was almost
well. Poor guy got a cramp in his foot and I had to message
his toes for nearly an hour until it went away. He was so brave; in spite
of his pain he offered to show me the sights of Montreal.
We had a swell time. Jean-Claude wanted to talk all evening about casting techniques.
He said he's a coach for the Canadian Olympic Ski Team and over the years
has had to wear numerous casts, so he's picked up a lot of the technical terms.
He wants his
doctor to evaluate the CaraPlast products, so I'm sending him a bunch of
samples to pass on to his doctor.
Well, it's getting late. I'll write soon.
Your Casting Cutie,
Phyllis
