Cast is a patellar tendon bearing plaster slc. Castee severely sprained her ankle at a bar late one night after tripping on a flight of stairs while in an inebriated state. She had to wait until about 4 in the morning when they felt she was sober enough to be sedated and casted.

She hated the weight and the size of the plaster cast so she returned about a week and a half later demanding a fiber cast. The hospital did not carry fiber so they gave her the name and the address of a local supplier of fiber and they told her that she would have to go buy it herself then return to the hospital with it and they'd remove the plaster and apply the fiber.

She did so and all the while they were removing the old cast and applying the new one, they gave her a hard time as they felt that it was extra work and a shame that she wanted to get out of such a nice plaster cast. She loved the fiber cast and was able to wear her usual long pants such as jeans.

She never wants to be med casted again but would consider being rec casted given the right circumstances.

Just as an aside, the pic is believed to be the only one of her while she was in any of her casts. It was taken while she visted the set of a movie that starred Demi Moore (The Scarlet Letter).
