2/28/99 My first ever lats and fiber arm cast turned out great. Arm casts aren't my favorite kind, but every once in awhile I like a change from all the leg casts. The first three pictures are of me inside my apartment. The next two are of me outside of Burger King. This was also my first true publicking experience in an arm cast. I'm much more bold about publicking now. But it helps that I'm new to this area and not really known by anyone.
However, while (weith a fellow caster), a couple that the fellow caster knew came up to him to say hello. They had a kid and he asked me what I did to my arm. I hadn't thought of an excuse ahead of time so I just mumbled "I fell on my arm funny". Hehe, It's better to have a few default excuses for various types of casts (I'm better with leg cast excuses). The last picture is a closeup of the hand. Notice the red stain. It's ketchup, not blood, for once!

My little short arm cast experience wasn't much but was worth it. I applied it using two 4" rolls and followed the procedure above (cutting in half one of the rolls). The cast turned out well, and I wore until about midnight that night. I was able to save it as well, and I hope to reuse it and my lac at the same time. Because they are on opposite limbs (lac on left/sac on right), I will look forward to having them on simultaneously sometime in the not to distant future.
Same long leg cast as above but with an added blue long arm cast
Just a simple blue short arm cast
I'm not as patriotic as this adventure might indicate, but I thought it would be a pretty cool cast. The flag is a beach towel. I'm not the best at making arm casts, and I missed a spot on the elbow, but this was a pretty comfortable cast. I like arm casts every once in awhile. As you can see, I'm acting as if I'm very upset I can no longer play my guitars. The accoustic is a Taylor 412, the black with mirror pickguard is an Ibanez JEM7D, the red one is an Ibanez JS100 (Joe Satriani model), the grey pewter (see below for comparison to my grey slc) one is an Ibanez GAX75, and the bass is an Ibanez GTR70.
This is the most recent adventure, last weekend. The adventures below are from most recent to last, over the past few months. I'm behind in my adventure updating. I figure people want to see actual female updates, compared to seeing pictures of my ugly mug.
